We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and customer focused Account Manager to join our team, covering the North & South West Sydney district area. Reporting directly to the Field Sales Manager - NSW Metro, this is a hands-on, territory-based role that blends strong customer relationship management with proactive business development and new customer acquisition - making it ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, trade-focused environment.
You will be accountable for growing our Trade-based business through targeted sales development activities, while ensuring the consistent delivery of day-to-day sales and support to your customer base. This means managing the full scope of your territory — from quoting and ordering through to special order pricing, purchasing, and the general administration that comes with looking after a portfolio of Trade accounts.
You'll work across a whole-of-project offer, supporting your customers at every stage of the build, and you'll be expected to bring energy, initiative, and a genuine commitment to service excellence to everything you do. As part of a high-performing team, you'll be supported with ongoing coaching and development from your Field Sales Manager to ensure you continue to grow in the role and deliver results for your customers and the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with Trade customers across the North & South West Sydney district
- Identifying and acquiring new business opportunities within your territory
- Managing the end-to-end quoting and ordering process, including special order pricing and purchasing
- Supporting customers with a whole-of-project approach to meet their building and supply needs
- Handling the day-to-day administration involved in managing a portfolio of Trade accounts
- Contributing to a high-performing team culture focused on delivering quality, on-time products to customers and builders
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- A proactive, results-driven sales professional with a genuine customer focus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in the building, construction, or trade supply industry (mandatory)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and stay on top of administrative tasks
- A willingness to learn, grow, and embrace new skills as the business evolves
- A true team player who takes pride in shared success
