The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible in leading a highly skilled yard team to ensure daily operations are met and that we provide on time delivery to our customers who rely on us for their building and timber materials. This is not your average Dispatch Coordinator role!  It is a challenging and varied role where every day is different. This is a fast-paced busy environment where the dispatch team is fully committed to delivering positive outcomes to our customers and builders.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Schedule and confirm the dispatch of outbound orders
  • Updating customers on expected delivery delays
  • Storing and packaging of goods and materials in accordance with appropriate procedures and/or regulations
  • Allocating and retrieving goods from specific warehouse areas
  • May use forklift to unload and load trucks and put stock in racking
  • High level of problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, calm and respectful under pressure with a positive can-do attitude
  • Processing paperwork in accordance with process and procedures
  • High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
  • Finally have a ‘hands on’ with a 'can do' attitude

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Experience in a similar role of 3+ years in a trade, manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in dispatching, coordination, or a similar role
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in dispatch software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
