ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Truck Driver at Dahlsens, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of our products to customers. Your dedication to safety and customer service will help us maintain our reputation for excellence. You will be required to load and unload timber and building materials to customers and site builds. Manual handling of items may be required at times to load and offload smaller items.

When you aren't on the roads completing deliveries, you may be looking after the yard, picking and packing customer orders, and assisting where possible. Additionally, you will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, plan routes, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner
• Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers
• Manual handling of goods in and out of truck at times
• Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
• Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries
• Yard assistance may be required at times
• High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
• Manual handling of goods and stock (may including, timber, wood, plasterboard, other building materials from time to time)
• Finally have a ‘hands on’ with a 'can do' attitude

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• HR licence or above (mandatory)
• Forklift licence (mandatory)
• Construction Induction Card - White Card (mandatory)
• Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above) (mandatory)
• Driver History check report required (agree to a Driver History check being performed)
