ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you someone who genuinely cares about helping customers and takes pride in providing great service? We’re looking for friendly, reliable Hardware Counter Sales team members to join our Tableland Hardware branches at Atherton (full-time) and Mareeba (casual). These roles are front and centre of our business supporting our trade and retail customers with the right products, advice and service every day. You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers. You’ll listen, ask the right questions, and make it easy for customers to get what they need whether they’re builders, tradies or DIYers.

Our Atherton Store is open 6 days a week and our Mareeba store is open 7 days a week, these roles may require weekend work on a rostered basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Providing warm, professional and helpful service to all customers 
• Serving customers at the counter and over the phone 
• Offering product advice and solutions with a strong focus on customer care 
• Processing sales, orders and payments accurately 
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe counter area 
• Working closely with the yard and sales team to deliver a seamless experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Have a genuine care for customers and a positive, can-do attitude 
• Enjoy working with people in a retail environment 
• Communicates clearly and professionally 
• Is reliable, punctual and a team player 
• Is willing to learn products, systems and processes
• Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods 
• Forklift Licence (LF) Advantageous
