ABOUT THE ROLE

We’ve got great entry-level opportunities for school students across our Trade Centre and Retail stores in Bungalow, Edmonton, Innisfail, Mareeba & Atherton stores.

 

You’ll be working at the hardware counter and helping customers find what they need. Whether they’re tradies, builders or weekend DIYers, you’ll chat with them, ask the right questions and make their visit easy and friendly.

You’ll need to be 15 years of age, still at school, able to work afternoons, weekends & school holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Learn on the job and build your confidence
• Give friendly, helpful service to every customer
• Help customers in store and over the phone
• Handle stock carefully and help keep things organised
• Keep the store clean, safe and ready for customers
• Take part in product training with leading brands

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bring a positive attitude and are keen to have a go
• Likes working with people and being part of a team
• Can communicate clearly and respectfully
• Are reliable, shows up on time and takes responsibility
• Open to learning about products, systems and how the store runs
• Physically able to safely lift and move stock when needed
• Cares about safety and looks out for team members, customers and visitors
