At Dahlsens Mitre 10, we believe in putting our customers first and providing exceptional service from the moment customers set foot into our retail store. As a Retail Assistant  you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our retail store and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Your dedication and attention to detail will play a crucial role in creating a positive and efficient environment for both customers and your team members. 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Provide fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful customer service whilst meeting the service expectations appropriate to the customers in your area/s and store.
  • Provide customer service to agreed company standards including acknowledge and approach all customers.
  • Offer to assist customers and provide accurate information about the store.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and responsive service in all situations.
  • Maintain a clean, uncluttered environment for easy shopping before opening of trade and during each day.
  • Offer product knowledge to match product to customers’ needs.
  • Present and display merchandise in a manner that is easy for our customers to shop.
  • Use appropriate questioning techniques to identify and match products to customers’ needs.
  • Overcome objections and negotiate with customers to achieve a win / win outcome.
  • Add value to the sale by providing appropriate add-on products and services to enhance the customer’s purchase.
  • Encourage customer loyalty by offering exceptional follow up service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated customer focused experience in a retail store or similar.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and dependable team player, willing and capable of working across all aspects of the store & professional communication and people skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop excellent product knowledge and be confident to share this with our customers.
