ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a reliable and safety focused Store person to work across our Plasterboard and Trade Centre, supporting our customers with efficient, practical and friendly service.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy yard environment and takes pride in keeping things organised, safe and customer ready. This role encompasses a broad and varied scope of responsibilities, requiring adaptability, collaboration and a willingness to step in where needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Working across both the plasterboard and trade areas, you’ll play an important role in day-to-day operations, supporting customers and the wider branch team

  • Picking, loading and unloading plasterboard and building materials 
  • Operating forklifts and handling materials safely 
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organised and safe work area 
  • Supporting stock management and general branch operations 
  • Processing transactions at point of sale
  • Manage and process stock receivals accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure goods are prepared on time and in full to meet customer requirements
  • Handling of all stock is done in a manner to minimise damage and wastage
  • Review invoices to ensure accuracy at all times
  • High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
  • Providing warm, professional and helpful service to all customers 
  • Processing sales, orders and payments accurately

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

You’re practical, dependable and enjoy being part of a team that supports trades and builders every day.

  • Previous experience as a Store person, yard person or in a trade centre environment
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods 
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy 
  • High level of organisational skills with ability to work autonomously
  • A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work across different areas as needed 
  • Pride in delivering good service to customers
  • Manual Vehicle Licence essential
  • Forklift Licence (LF) Essential
